The proposal modifies the party’s grassroots organization by shifting its leadership from individual to collective.
President Nicolas Maduro said this is giving rise to “the new organizational theory of the Bolivarian Revolution for our people and those who wish to experience it.”
On his Wednesday TV program “Con el Mazo Dando,” PSUV Secretary General Diosdado Cabello announced that the CBBI election will conclude this Thursday and ratified that a Committee is being proposed “to move from individual to collective leadership.”
Maduro announced on Monday at a meeting with the National Directorate of the PSUV and the Youth that 145,465 CBBI were established on Saturday and Sunday.
The president underscored that more than three million Venezuelans participated in the formation of these initial structures, which will transform party activities at the grassroots level.
He stated that the swearing-in ceremony of more than 260,000 CBBI members from across the nation is scheduled for November 15, so that more than six million men and women “ready to build the homeland” should be mobilized.
Once this stage is complete, the process will continue with the setting up of the Network of Comprehensive Base Bolivarian Committees, which will lead to the establishment of more than 47,000 Community Commands nationwide.
