He also emphasized the support for the constitutional order, guaranteed by acting President Delcy Rodríguez. The diplomat stressed Russia’s rejection of the illegal and destructive external intervention, driven by neocolonial interests.

Furthermore, the Venezuelan minister thanked the People’s Republic of China for its “firm support for the sovereignty, peace, and legitimate rights and interests” of Venezuela. He valued Beijing’s warning that no nation can place its internal laws above international agreements.

Finally, he emphasized: “We extend our gratitude for China’s willingness to collaborate with the Latin American and Caribbean region in preserving its status as a Zone of Peace.”

On another note, during the day, the Venezuelan Foreign Minister also held talks with his Omani counterpart, Sayyid Badr Bin Hamad Bin Hamood al Busaidi. Regarding this, Gil stated: “We discussed the situation in Venezuela and the crucial importance of respecting the sovereignty and independence of nations. We sincerely appreciate his call to guarantee peace and security for the Venezuelan people.”

These gestures of solidarity from global powers reaffirm the importance of international law and the self-determination of peoples in the face of unilateral actions taken by the United States. The stance of Russia and China underscores a commitment to multipolarity and respect for the sovereignty of nations.
