On Thursday, U.S. President Donald Trump shared an artificial intelligence-generated video in which he portrays himself as a doctor treating critics suffering from “Trump Derangement Syndrome” (TDS).

“Have you or someone you know been diagnosed with TDS? The symptoms can be relentless. Fortunately, I’m Dr. Trump, and I have a treatment plan. Let’s hear what some of my patients have to say,” the Republican politician says while wearing a doctor’s coat.
The video then uses AI-generated images of celebrities including Rosie O’Donnell, John Leguizamo, Whoopi Goldberg, Edward Norton, Robert De Niro and Julia Roberts describing their “symptoms” to the camera.
“I feel like I’ve aged 20 years in the last two. I’ve been so worried. I was really starting to worry about my future,” says the AI-generated version of Julia Roberts.
Meanwhile, De Niro says he almost “didn’t recognize” himself anymore and that he “made everyone around him miserable.”
According to Trump, the treatment is simple. “Turn off the fake news, pray, and if you ever feel anxious, have a Diet Coke like I do, and you’ll see a remarkable difference in your life,” he concludes in the 90-second video.
Trump has repeatedly invoked the fictional syndrome against celebrities who criticize him, including singer Bruce Springsteen, whom the president said suffers from a “horrible and incurable case” of TDS.
As for the celebrities featured in the new video, Trump previously described the actor from The Godfather as “sick and deranged” after De Niro said on a podcast that the country should “get rid of” the president.
It is not the first time Trump has used AI on social media to target his critics. The latest controversy came in April, during a public exchange with Pope Leo XIV, when he posted an image that appeared to depict him as Jesus Christ.
Following the criticism, the president deleted the post and said he believed he was depicted “as a doctor” for the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement.
