In a message posted on his social media, the Cuban leader thanked China for its continued solidarity with the Caribbean island, based on the brotherhood between the two countries.
On the same social media platform, Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez also congratulated the Asian giant and highlighted the close bilateral ties.
“We are united with this sister and beloved nation by strategic, multifaceted, and comprehensive relations based on solidarity and cooperation,” he emphasized on the platform.
The People’s Republic of China, founded in 1949, is today the world’s second-largest economy and a major trading partner for more than 140 countries, with a growing participation in global development projects and regional and international integration mechanisms.
