Arkan Badr, a member of the political bureau of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (DFLP), denounced Washington’s initiative, in statements to the press.
The idea represents a “direct attack on the Palestinian national entity,” said Badr, noting that it attacks the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) and the Palestinian National Authority (PNA) by demanding domestic reforms after Israeli pressure.
He affirmed that the plan points at marginalizing the Palestinian people and deny their inalienable national rights.
Given this situation, Badr called for an urgent meeting of the PLO, with the participation of leading leaders, to formulate a comprehensive national strategy to address what he described as the “existential threat.”
The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine-General Command (PFLP-GC) affirmed that the proposal represents a surrender to the Israeli occupation.
