Cuba and Honduras advocate strengthening ties of friendship and solidarity

Diplomatic representatives of Cuba and Honduras ratified the political will to continue consolidating the ties of friendship and solidarity.

Such disposition was expressed in the 2nd meeting of Political Consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Cuba and the Secretariat of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Honduras, held this Friday in Havana.

The meeting was chaired by the Cuban Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Josefina Vidal, and the Undersecretary of Foreign Policy of Honduras, Gerardo Torres.

The diplomatic representatives agreed that the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding to promote exchange and cooperation, signed in 2022, already has concrete results in education and in the field of health.

Vidal thanked Honduras for its rejection of the US blockade of Cuba and for its firm denunciation in various international forums of the island’s inclusion in the list of countries that sponsor terrorism.

In the context of the meeting, a Memorandum was signed between the Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Secretariat of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Honduras, to strengthen relations at the diplomatic level.
