DPRK ratifies support to Cuba in the fight against U.S. blockade

The ambassador of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK), Ma Chol Su, assured Wednesday that Cuba will always count on his country’s solidarity in confronting the U.S. blockade.

During an activity for the 81st anniversary of Kim Jong Il’s birthday, the Korean diplomat expressed his confidence in the victory of the Caribbean nation in the face of Washington’s economic war and the triumph of the island in the defense of its socialism with the strength of unity and creative resistance.

He specified that the relations between the two countries are assets and patrimonies that are developed through their parties and governments.

He said it is the firm will of DPRK State Affairs Chairman Kim Jong Un to boost the bilateral ties and thanked the Communist Party of Cuba and the government and people of the island for their support of the DPRK cause.

He noted that the warm trust between historic leaders Fidel and Raul Castro, Kim Il Sun, and Kim Jong Il has been the cornerstone of the ties between the two nations for more than 60 years.

Ma Chol Su recalled that 2023 marks the fifth anniversary of Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel’s visit to the DPRK, which prompted the advancement of the relations as a strategic and companionable point for the two states.

He reiterated that the DPRK will devote all its efforts to continue with that purpose.

He also wished Cuba, under the wise leadership of its government and party, success in the defense of its socialism and the development of the country.

On the other hand, before the presentation of a documentary in homage to Kim Jong Il, the ambassador highlighted the revolutionary life and feats of the Korean leader for the benefit of his people.

He also said that the top authorities of the DPRK and its people, under the guidance of Kim Jong Un, continue to advance towards a prosperous future under the precepts of Kim Jong Il.
