The reigning NBA champion, Oklahoma City Thunder, will look to take the lead today in the playoff series against the San Antonio Spurs for the Western Conference title, after each team split one win.
The Thunder evened the series on Wednesday with a 122-113 victory, after initially falling behind 115-123 in the best-of-seven matchup. This result ended Oklahoma’s eight-game postseason winning streak.
Both teams finished at the top of their respective divisions during the preliminary rounds of the championship, a position they maintained in the initial playoffs leading up to the NBA Finals.
The battle for a spot in the Eastern Conference Finals shows the New York Knicks holding a 2-0 lead over the Cleveland Cavaliers after their 109-93 victory on Wednesday. The series resumes this Saturday.
